Refund Policy

Membership Dues
Membership dues are generally non-refundable once payment has been processed. Exceptions may be considered in cases of duplicate payment or administrative error.

Event Registrations (Including CMSC)
Refund requests must be submitted in writing. Full refunds may be issued if cancellation is received 30 days prior to the event. Partial refunds may be issued for cancellations received 14–29 days prior to the event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 14 days of the event unless special circumstances apply. Substitutions of attendees may be allowed.

Technical Products or Digital Content
Due to the nature of digital content (papers, presentations, downloads), purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted.

Administrative Errors
CMS will promptly correct billing errors or duplicate charges.

Once payment is processed, applicants will receive a confirmation email. Membership benefits begin once the membership is activated according to CMS policies.

Billing Descriptor Policy

Payments made to CMS will appear on cardholder statements using a billing descriptor that identifies the Coordinate Metrology Society.

Purpose
This descriptor helps cardholders recognize legitimate CMS transactions and reduces chargeback disputes.
