All responses are provided without commercial bias and handled with strict confidentiality, ensuring you receive objective, professional insight you can rely on.
Submitting a question is simple. Complete the online form and describe your 3D metrology issue—whether it involves equipment selection, application challenges, training needs, process improvement, or other related concerns.
You may also attach sketches, notes, or supporting documents to help clarify your situation. A CMS representative will review your inquiry and respond within 2–3 business days. If accuracy matters to you, CMS is here to help.

3D Measurement U (3DMU) was created to expand the Coordinate Metrology Society’s commitment to education and professional development in 3D metrology — the science of measurement.
Education has always been central to the CMS mission. As the demand for accessible, high-quality training continued to grow, the Society sought a way to extend learning opportunities beyond the conference environment.
3D Measurement U is the result of that vision.
Developed in collaboration with CMS’s long-standing media partner, Quality Digest — an industry publication founded in 1984 — 3DMU combines the technical expertise of CMS members with professional instructional design, video production, and digital delivery.
The platform is designed to support both emerging professionals and experienced operators, technicians, and engineers seeking to sharpen their skills. Through structured online learning, 3DMU expands access to the knowledge, standards, and best practices that define coordinate metrology.

The Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) is the world’s premier event for Measurement Technology Professionals sponsored by the Coordinate Metrology Society. Established in 1984, the five-day annual conference is held each year at a different location and attracts visitors from around the globe. The Coordinate Metrology Society Conference sets itself apart as a pillar in our industry. Boasting an unmatched array of metrology technical presentations, an interactive exhibit hall showcasing the forefront of 3D technology, engaging sessions with industry leaders, and myriad other offerings; this esteemed five-day event is a cornerstone of the field.
The 2027 conference will be held July 19 to 23, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Greenville in Greenville, South Carolina.
